Twitter Shorten Twitter Links
We know that getting your message into 140 characters is a challenge – especially when you want to add a link. Luckily, there are third party services like bit.ly that make the squeeze into 140 a little easier. Not only do they shorten links, they make them customizable and trackable.
In a browser, Go To http://bit.ly/ and Click Sign in with Twitter.
You'll see a page asking you to allow bitly to authorize your account. Click Sign In..
You're almost there! You'll see a screen asking for your email address.
Once you enter it, Click Create It and you'll be ready to start shortening and sharing links!
Once you enter the URL a screen will pop up showing you what your new and improved shortened URL is.
Then Click on the Twitter logo.
A screen will pop up that will allow you to add a tweet with your newly shortened URL.
Once you've added your message, Click the Tweet button and your new tweet will appear on your Twitter page. Congratulations! You're done!
And as a side note, while we love bit.ly, there are a lot of similar services out there, including third party Twitter clients, so find the service that works best for you.
